FRANKFORT: Ruth V. Hines, 95, of Frankfort, Ohio, died at 2:04 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Vineyards at Concord, Frankfort.

She was born on April 9, 1919, in Ross County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Ruth Vause Porter.
Ruth was a 1938 graduate of Frankfort High School, and worked as a nurses aide for the Chillicothe Hospital.
She also served on the Concord Twp. EMS until she was 83.
Ruth served in the United States Navy, during World War II


She married Robert D. Hines, who preceded her in death on February 22, 1993.

She is survived by her son, Michael L. (Judy) Hines of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Jason (Lori) Tress, Jackie (Karl) Davis, Josh (Jill) Hines, Angie (Stephen) Beasley; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Wood and Julia Mossbarger; and two brothers, Tom V. Porter, and John Porter.

.In accordance with Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no calling hours will be held. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
