COONROD, Franklin E. 74, of Springfield, Ohio, passed surrounded by his family and friends Thursday, January 8, 2015.

He was born in Ross County, Ohio, the son of Robert Owen and Elva (Recob) Coonrod.

Frank was a farmer from his early teens to his mid-twenties and later retired from Clark Service Center after 25 years of service in small engine repair

In his younger years Frank enjoyed square dancing and was a Boy Scout Troop leader.
He liked woodworking, fishing, camping and playing cards.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Everett Coonrod

He is survived by his wife Lola J. (Burton) Coonrod; a son Ronald (Anna) Coonrod; a daughter Regina (Edward) Fulton; step-son James (Tracy) Cain, Jr.; stepdaughters Darlene (Earl Smith) Haggy and Christine (Vince Aspen) Cain; brothers Robert (Dorothy) Coonrod and Henry (Priscilla) Coonrod; a sister Margret Coonrod; half-sisters Mary Jo Knisley, Lou Wilson and Grace Writesel; 25 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many friends who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A funeral service to honor Frank's life will be Monday at 10:00 AM in the memorial home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating.
Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
