I am looking for the parents of John J Liebe of Ross County, Ohio, who was born 22 Aug 1852 and died 29 Nov 1928. John J Liebe's wife was Martha Ann Whitcomb of Ross County, Ohio, who was born 21 Jan 1856 and died 18 Aug 1928.
John J Liebe's death certificate states that his mother is Elizabeth Hardman of Ohio. There is no other information on her. The certificate states that his father is John Liebe of Ohio. I see on some of the ancestry trees, the father is John Liebe of Pennsylvania, born 1797. The mother, Elizabeth has been listed on those trees as born in 1813 in Ohio. I see a John and Elizabeth Liebe in the 1850 censu. In 1860 census, I see John & Elizabeth with John J who is 7 years old. That's the last I see of John & Elizabeth. I can't find any record before 1850 of which they are living alone. I can't find death certificates or birth certicates on John & Elizabeth Hardman Liebe.

John J Liebe is my great grandfather. I hope that someone has information as well as documentation for proof. I live in Maine and can't search for county records but I don't believe there may be any.
