Judith Ann Burton was born on May 30, 1931 to Scott Thomas Jackson and Helen Marie Keel Jackson in Chillicothe, Ohio. She is a graduate of West High School, Class of 1950, and worked at White Westinghouse for many years until retiring in 1979. Judith was an avid bowler and made many friends and fond memories as a member of the decades long Madison League. Judith also enjoyed serving others as a member of the Women’s Christian Ministry and Usher Board of Second Community Church where she herself was a member for many years.

Over the course of Judith’s life she met the love of her life, Harris Burton, Jr. and they became husband and wife on June 21, 1950. From this union came six children: Victor, Michael, Brenda, Rhonda, Robert and Tina. And in continuation of their union seven grandchildren have been born: Mariama, Kyle, Ronald II, Brandon, Madison, and Tatum & Tyler. Judith was a very proud mother and grandmother.
Along with her children and grandchildren, Judith is survived by a brother John (Barbara) Jackson, Sr.; two sisters Kaye West and Sally (Ralph) Taylor; and two sisters-in-law Vivian Rose and Ellen Rhodes. She also has many nieces, nephews and other relatives who looked up to their favorite “Aunt Judy.” Her advice was frequently sought and she gave it without hesitation. Judith’s friends speak well about the wisdom of her words.

We celebrate our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and good friend.

As a family, we would like to express our deep appreciation to everyone who worked with our beloved Matriarch during her illness. In the past few months we worked with the staff of Mt. Carmel Hospice who kept us well informed on how to best care for our mom and their expertise is well appreciated. If you would like to make a memorial contribution, please do so with the Mt. Carmel Hospice office.

With sincere thanks,
The Burton Family
