LATHAM: Ronald A. Penn age 86 of Latham, Ohio died Wednesday March 18, 2015 at the Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon, OH.

He was born May 3, 1928 in Morgantown, Ohio (Pike County) the son of the late William A. and Grace Armstrong Penn.
Mr. Penn was a retired sawyer in the lumber business.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart for injuries received in combat.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Church in Poplar Grove.

He is survived by seven children, Ronda (Rev. Darrell) Myers Jr. of Peebles, Ohio, Paula (Mark) Scott of Chillicothe, Ohio, Julia "Dude" (Larry) Satterfield of Peebles, Danny (Sis) Penn of Melbourne, FL, Tim (Jenny) Penn of Hillsboro, OH, Darren (Missy) Penn of Greenfield, Brenda Hakes of Marion, OH; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Martha) Penn of Newark, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Moore Penn on March 16, 2004; and by 10 brothers and sisters.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 23rd at the Botkin-Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.
Burial, with military honors by the Merritt Post #142, American Legion, of Waverly, will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Poplar Grove.
