PIKETON: Ronnie C. Dixon, age 79, of Sunfish Creek Road, Piketon, Ohio died 3:15 A.M. Friday, February 13, 2015 at his residence.

He was born February 21, 1935 in Pike County, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Florence Legg Dixon.
On July 20, 1957 he was united in marriage to Patricia Alexander Dixon who survives; also surviving are one son, David (Lesa) Dixon of Piketon, Ohio; one daughter, Diana Myers of Piketon, Ohio; three grandchildren, Joey Dixon, Zachary Dixon, and Isaac Dixon; two step grandchildren, Zachary Scott and Landon Scott; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Silcott and Roberta Greenwald.

Ronnie was a retired postmaster of the Piketon post office, was a member of the Smith Hill Church of Christ, was a member of the Ross-Pike County Educational Service District Board, was president of the Pike County C.T.C. Board, and was a US Army veteran.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Rick Breidenbaugh, Minister, officiating.
Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday and from noon to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
