JENKINS, Catherine Avenelle 87, of South Vienna, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Springfield Regional Hospital in the presence of her family.

She was born in Pike County, Ohio on March 10, 1927, the daughter of Ira and Ivy (Legg) Leslie. She was a loving and caring person who always had time to listen to people.
She was well known for her humor and wittiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delbert Jenkins, son, Jerry Wayne, sisters, Alberta Day, Pluma Roberts, Lucille Nixon, Pearl Pedan, and Clairie Leslie, brothers, Jesse, Fred, Raymond, Ashner, and Arnold Leslie, and granddaughter, Stephanie (Cook) Cameron.

Survived by sons, Roger and Jeffery Jenkins, daughters, Barbara (Fred) Inskeep, Sandra (Steve) Cook, grandchildren, Jerry, Todd, and Amber Jenkins, Tim and Tom Inskeep, Wesley and Justin (Beth) Cook, eight great-grandchildren, brother, Imond (Jeanette) Leslie of Pike County, sister Velma Mossbarger of Pike County, numerous nieces and nephews, close friends Dorothy Jenkins and Nelmie Jenkins and friend of the family, Sue Martin.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home.
Services on Friday, October 3 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard Cartwright officiating.
Burial to follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
