WAVERLY: Robert L. Ewing, 91 of St. Rt. 335 Waverly, Ohio (Pike County) died Saturday June 8, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on December 19, 1921 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Clarence "Gib" and Pauline Lee Foster Ewing.

He was united in marriage on January 17, 1948 to Myrle "Billie" Anderson Ewing who preceded him death on December 10, 1999.

Surviving are a son, Steven Ewing and wife, Carol of Waverly; two daughters: Lisa Ewing and fiance', Kevin of Delaware, OH, Sara Maxson and husband, Kevin of Winfield, WV; three grandchildren: Nathan Ewing and wife, Jenny of Waverly, Kristopher Maxson of Pleasant Garden, NC, Kira Maxson of Hurricane, WV; three great grandchildren: Shelby and Gibby Ewing, and Rylee Plumley; two sisters: Jane Mossbarger of Versailles, KY, Mary Lynch of Canton, PA.


Mr. Ewing was a farmer, a member of the Orient Lodge #321 F.&A.M. in Waverly for 65 years, a member of the Pike County Shrine Club for 50 years, served as past President of the former Pike Community Hospital Board of Directors, a member of the Ohio Cattleman's Association, and a former 4-H advisor.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with Billy Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Union Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday.
