CAMBRIDGE: Charles Edward McKnight, 53, of Cambridge, Ohio (Guernsey County) passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013.

He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on December 21, 1959, a son of Charles E. McKnight Jr. of Waverly, Ohio and the late Kathleen (Campbell) McKnight.

Mr. McKnight was a graduate of Waverly High School in 1978, then Ohio University in 1984 and Capital University Law School in 1988.

He was an Attorney-at-Law with his own practice in Cambridge, Ohio for 21 years.
He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where he was a volunteer. He was a a board member of the Cambridge Performing Arts Centre, a member of the Guernsey County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
In addition to these accomplishments he considered his greatest achievement his three sons.

Surviving are: his father, Charles E. McKnight Jr. of Waverly, Ohio; wife, Laurie (Rochon) McKnight of Cambridge whom he married on February 16, 1991; sons, Matthew, Jeffrey and Gregory McKnight, all of Cambridge; four sisters, Julia (Eldon) Pittenger of Jackson, Ohio, Karen (Tom) Tiefert of Greenwood, Indiana, Lois (Jim) Rapp of Waverly, Debi (John) Saczawa of Powell, Ohio; a brother, John (Nancy) McKnight of Haymarket, VA; his mother- and father-in-law, Edward (Judie) Rochon of Westerville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Byron McKnight and Paul McKnight.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bundy-Law Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at Christ Our Light Parish at 11a.m., with the church open at 10 a.m.
