Charlotte M. Brown, 72, of New Straitsville, Ohio, died at 11:37am on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Born December 16, 1942 in New Straitsville, Ohio, she was raised by her grandparents, the late Alice & Walter Whitmer and their family, Charles (deceased), Sarah, Bernice, Clara, Jack (deceased) , Gene (deceased) and best friend and sister, Patricia Morris (deceased).

A homemaker, a loving wife and mother.

Survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry L. Brown of the home; children, Donna R. (Jim) Mickey of Somerset, Ohio, Charles (Meg) Hicks of New Lexington, Ohio, David (Carol) Hicks of New Straitsville, Brenda S. Tope of New Lexington and Jeremy (Annie) Brown of Weston, West Virginia; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Naomi Goodin Whitmer.

Calling hours will be held at 6-8 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Graveside funeral service and burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at New Lexington Cemetery, 440 Swigart Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Frank Dunkle officiating.
