ZANESVILLE: Dorothy "Ilene" Caton, of Nashport, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Zanesville, Ohio.

Ilene was born in Perry County, Ohio to the late John and Helen Chilcote Shaw.

Ilene obtained a Bachelors' Degree in education from Ohio University and taught school at Muskingum County Starlight School and Golden Rule in Cambridge, OH.
She attended Central Trinity United Methodist Church, was a wonderful wife to her husband, George E. Caton, Jr., who passed away in 1964. She was a petite woman with a big smile.

Ilene is survived by her son Christopher and his wife, Linda Caton of Pittsburgh; daughter, Kimberly Caton of Nashport, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kelly, Andrew, Kayla; and one great-grandchild, Madison, all of Nashport; and one sister, Mary Ellen Danison of Somerset, Ohio.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother-in-law, Kenny Danison.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 3, 2011 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 in The Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
