Surnames: Thomas, Burns, Gorney
Hello,
My nameis Laura L. Alexander Gomoll. I am looking for information on my Thomas family line in Pauling County Ohio. My grandmother was Ruth Lavern Burns her mother had the last name of Thomas, I believe her first name was Ida, I am not sure. I was told that Ruth was born in Grover Hill, Ohio. I was also told that Ida was actually an Indian who was brought to live with the Thomas family. I am thinking if this is so that it probably was Ida's mother not Ida who was the Indian to live with the Thomas family. I am also told that there is a family reunion every year in Grover Hill the last week end of July every year.
I was hoping you may be able to help me with my family information. My grandma Ruth married Frank Gorney and they had 13 children. My mom was #9 Elizabeth Ruth Gorney. I am her oldest child.
