Can anyone please tell me how I can obtain a copy of a marriage record in Ohio? I need the marriage record for Cpl. Joseph J. Burns and Mary E. Hosmer married on 7/8/1940 at Camp Perry Ohio. The cermony was solemnized by Chaplain Roy H. Cox. I believe this is Ottawa county.

I also would like to obtain military records for Cpl Joseph Burns. He served at Pine Camp, NY in 1940 then was transferred to Camp Perry on July 1, 1940. Later he was re-stationed to Fort Meade in MD. Are military records public documents? Joseph Burns was my grandfather. He is now deceased. Any help with the marriage record or military records would be greatly appreciated!!
