Violet L. Welsh, 93, formerly of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday evening, July 2, 2008, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born Feb. 21, 1915, in Zanesville, she was the daughter of the late Elvin W. and Iva J. Mahew Carrell and was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Welsh worked for 17 years as a press operator and at The Ohio Plastics Company of Frazeysburg.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna (Edwin) Saunders of Syracuse, N.Y.; Marlene (Ted) Gentry of Zanesville; and Marcie Smith of Zanesville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
