John A. Fortune

Funeral services for John A. Fortune will be conducted at the late home 1034 Linden Avenue at 1:30 o' clock Monday afternoon by Rev Theron Lee, Pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Members of Hazlett Post GAR will meet at their quarters in Memorial Hall at 1 o' clock Monday afternoon and will hold their services at the home at 1:15 o' clock. Mr. Fortune was a veteran of the Civil War and served in the Navy during the conflict. He was affilaited with the GAR and the Herrick Blue Naval Association and for many years was a valued employee of The American Encautic Tile Company. Surviving are the following children: Charles Fortune of Sacramento, California, Frank Fortune of Hanford, California, Mrs. J. W. Drake of Toledo; the Misses Mabel, Elizabeth and Mary Fortune all of the home; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother George Fortune and one sister Miss Jennie Fortune all of this city.
