New Church At Adamsville

One of the neatest little churches in the county was dedicated in this village last Sunday by Rev. Dr. Helwig of Springfield, Ohio, late Prohibition candidate for Governor, and the Good Hope Lutheran congregation will hereafter meet in the handsomest church in the village. The structure is not large, being but 36 feet by 50 feet with a seating capacity of about 300. It is a frame building with a slate roof a neatly proportioned belfry, steel ceiling and wainscoted to the top of the benches, which are of a Straight pattern, elegant in appearance and comfortable in use. They are conveniently arranged with center and side aisles. The pulpit is beautifully carved walnut. The heating stoves are in diagonally opposite corners of the building an arrangement which in this community is new. The eight windows are Gothic in style and the lights are covered with various colored paper, oiled and varnished and in appearance are equal to stained glass. The edifice is located on the principal street of the village and is a substantial improvement to the town. To the energetic young Pastor Rev. S. S. Adams, the congregation and community are chiefly indebted for the new and elegant house of worship----Register
