In the name of the benevolent Father of All I GEORGE TAYLOR of Union Township in the County of Muskingum and the State of Ohio do make and publish thismy last will and testament.
Item 1st It is my will that this without delay after my death my funeral expenses and all my legal debts that may owe shall be fully paid.
Item 2nd I devise and bequeath tp my beloved wife ELIZABETH TAYLOR during her natural life the farm we now live on Situates in Township of Norwich, County of Muskingum and State of Ohio, Being the Northwest Quarter of Section Sixteen, 16, Township number one,1, range number five, 5, of the unappropriated lands in the military district. Exception therefrom 10 acres and three quarters of an acre in the Southwest corner of said quarter which has been sold off.
Item 3rd I give and bequeath to my son HENRY TAYLOR Five Hundred Dollars to be paid after my death and the death of my wife. I also give and bequeath to my Granddaughter MARY A. TUDOR one thousand Dollars to be paid to her after my death and the death of my wife.
Item 4th I give and bequeath to my son THOMAS TAYLOR all my farming utensils of every kind and description whatever. I also will and bequeath that my son Thomas Taylor shall continue on the said farm as usual farming it in a husband like manner, he pay the sum of one hundred dollars rent annually and after my death and the death of my wife he is to have the East half of said farm calling for Eighty acres for which he is to pay forty dollars per acre and for said land I have already made for him a deed to take effect as above. Three acres more or less I will and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Taylor for past services rendered and love and affection and for said land I have already made to her a deed to take effect after my death and the death of my wife.
Item 5th I will and bequeath to my wife all the interest of all my money I (?) have in hand at my death after paying all my just debts.
Item 6th I will and bequeath after my death and the death of my wife that the residue of my Estate after paying the ligaries aforesaid, I give to my children Equal Shares HENRY TAYLOR, ALFRED TAYLOR, THOMAS TAYLOR and ELIZABETH TAYLOR.
Item 7th I hereby nominate and appoint my son Thomas Taylor Executor of my last will and Testament.
I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 23rd day of March in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy.
