I JOHN
WYCOFF of
Muskingum County in the State of
Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following: that is to say :
First it is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.
Second I give, will and bequeath to my wife SUSAN
WYCOFF in lieu of her dower the plantation which we no reside situated in the county of Muskingum,
Ohio containing one hundred and seventy five acres during her natural life and all the live stock, horses, cattle, sheep, hogs. (?) by me now owned and kept thereon also the household and kitchen furniture and other articles not particularly named and otherwise disposed of in this will. During her natural life aforesaid by her giving LYDIA G
WYCOFF and MOLINDA J. WYCOFF an equal outset with the rest of our givings and at the death of my said wife all the property hereby devised or bequeathed to her as aforesaid or so much thereof as may then remain unexpensed to be equally divided among all our children and to their heirs and (Afor?) forever
Third I give and devise to my oldest daughter MARY P. CARTWRIGHT eighty acres of land that I give her by deed with four hundred Dollars.
Fourth I give and devise to my son JOSEPH P. WYCOFF one hundred and sixty acres of land that I give him a
Deed worth eight hundred dollars.
Fifth I give and
Bequeath to my daughter CATHERINE
ELERICK four hundred dollars, three hundred is money paid and one hundred to be paid neat full.
Sixth I give and bequeath to my daughter ELIZABETH T. P. WHITE four hundred dollars two hundred is ready paid and the other two hundred in two years after my decease.
Seventh I give and bequeath to my daughter SUSANNAH P. HASTINGS four hundred dollars two hundred all ready paid and two hundred in two years after my decease.
Eighth I give and bequeath daughter SARAH N. CUBEEN (or possibly Cabeen) four hundred dollars two of which is ready paid and the other two hundred dollars to be paid her or her heirs in two years after my decease.
Ninth I give and bequeath to my son JOHN L. WYCOFF one hundred and sixty acres of land on which he now lives worth eight hundred dollars.
Tenth. I give and bequeath to my daughter LYDIA J. WYCOFF four hundred dollars, two hundred in two years and the other two hundred in four years after my decease.
Eleventh I give and bequeath to my daughter MOLINDA J. WYCOFF four hundred dollars two hundred in two years and the other two hundred in four years after my decease.
And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Susan
WYCOFF and my son in law James
Hastings to be the Executors of this my last will and testament.
