Following is the last will and testament of Moses Ennis of Muskingum County, Ohio. Is said will Moses mentions his sister, Mary A. Dugan. Does anyone know who Mary’s husband is? In the 1850 censu Moses Ennis is in Wayne township page 411 house 795I do appreciate your help.
Last Will & Testament of Moses Ennis
Muskingum County Ohio Mach 1,1853
To the name of the benevolence Father of all.
Being of sound mind and memory, thanks to the Almighty God for the same, I Moses Ennis of the county of Muskingum of the state of Ohio; do make and publish this my last will and testament.
___1st I do give and devise to my beloved sister Mary A. Dugan and to my beloved brothers Patrick J. Ennias & Philip I [?] Ennis all of my estate to be divided as follows. Each to have an equal share of price or peace of land lying and being in said Muskingum County, being forty acres of the northeast corner of quarter section number twelve of township number twelve in range number thirteen of land to be sold in Zanesville in said Muskingum County. Said forty acres to be divided and designated as follows. Viz
To my sister Mary A. Dugan, thirteen and one third acres along the East line of said forty acres designated as lot [? N:] one. To my brother, Phillip I Ennis, thirteen and one third acres to be designated as lot [W: ?] two. And to my brother, Patrick J. [John] Ennis, thirteen and one third acres to be designated as lot [W:?] three, the divided line to run due north and south.
___2nd: I do hereby nominate and appoint my brother Phillip I. Ennis sole executor of this my last will and testament. I do herby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty two.
