ref: Will Bk B p 350: FRANCIS TITUS, Senior: In the name of God amen, I FRANCIS TITUS Senr. of Muskingum County and State of Ohio, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife MARY TITUS all my land together with all my personal property to hold the same in peaceable possession during her natural life or while she remains my widow and at her death or marriage that the whole both land and personal property shall be sold and divided in the following manner viz

That each of my Daughters shall have one hundred dollars and the remaining sum to be equally divided between each of my sons,

and that I hereby appoint my son SAMUEL TITUS and J. H. BARCLAY Executors of my will. s/FRANCIS TITUS (seal).

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named FRANCIS TITUS Senior to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto. s/Caleb Jordan, Jacob Daren S his mark, Madison Skinner.
