WILL
In the Name of the Benevolent Father of All
I, William Parks of Muskingum County in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament
Item First - I give and devise to my daughter Eliza Jane and her heirs in money the amount of eight hundred dollars and to my daughter Isabella and her heirs the sum of eight hundred dollars and to my daughter Mary and her heirs the sum of five hundred dollars and to the heirs of my deceased son James I give and devise to each herein namely Eliza Jane, John, Sarah, William, Samuel, James the sum of fifty dollars apiece.
Item Second - I devise and bequeath to my son Samuel and his heirs the farm on which I now reside containing about one hundred acres situated in Muskingum County in the State of Ohio.
Item Third - It is my will that my said son Samuel shall keep and sustain my beloved wife Jane during her life and to pay to each of the above heirs and legates the sum as heretofore stated and to pay all my expenses and debts which have or my accrue.
Item 4 - I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Samuel executor of this last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise adjust release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper, the debts and claims due me, I do also authorize and empower him to pay my debts to sell my property by private or public sale or in such manner upon such terms of credit or otherwise as he may think proper.
I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made.
In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day August A.D. 1875

In the Probate Court Thursday March 14, 1883
In the matter of the last will and testament of William Parks Deceased
This day the last will and testament of William Parks late of Jackson Township Muskingum County Ohio deceased was produced in writing in open Court and duly proves upon the oaths of I.W. Ewing and W.D. Packard, the attesting and subscribing witnesses thereto and whose testimony was introduced in writing and filed herein. And it appearing to the Court that Samuel Parks, Eliza J. Stitt, Isabel Parks, Mary Kilpatrick, Eliza J. Conard, J.A. Parks, Sarah E. Parks, W.S. Parks, Samuel Parks and James Parks next of his kin said testators residing within the State of Ohio, have been duly notified that an application, to admit said will to Probate, had been made and the same unto for hearing this day at 3 P.M. and proof of said notice filed therein. And it further appearing to the Court from said testimony, that said will was, duly executed and attested, and that said testator William Parks, was at the time of the execution of said will of full age, and of sound and disposing mind and memory and free from any restraint it is now by the Court ordered that said will be and the same is hereby admitted to Probate, and that the same together with the testimony of the witnesses and this entry be duly recorded.
