Walter J. Nelson, 73, of 560 Cliffwood avenue died at 6 a.m. Saturday (July 16, 1966) at his home following a short illness.
Born in Alabama, he was the son of Jacob and Martha Nelson.
A retired employee of the city water works, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Betty Jean Nelson and Mrs. Mary Jane Johnson both of Newark; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Childress and Mrs. Nellie Adams both of Detroit, Mrs. Catherine Knox of Cincinnati and Miss Mary Lou Nelson of Canton; four brothers, Jarvis Graves of 211 Main street, Thomas Nelson of 1014 Harvey street and Samuel and John Graves, both of Canton.
The body was taken to Hillis Funeral Home.
