Gaumer died in his home near Bird's Run, last Sunday evening, in the 82nd year of his age. He was born near Adamsville, July 17, 1817; was united in marriage with Nancy
Randles, in 1845. He joined the Lutheran church in Adamsville, at the age of fifteen. When he located near
Linton Mills, he had his name placed upon the register of the M. P. church; he subsequently moved to a farm near Bird's Run, when he became a member of the M. E. church at that place. He was an ex-soldier, having been a member of Co. I., 69th regiment O. V. V. I. He leaves a lonely widow to mourn the departure of one who was an helpmate for many years. The Funeral service was conducted by Rev. C. R. Blades, in the M. P. church last Monday afternoon, and interment was made in the Plainfield cemetery. - Plainfield Sentinal.
