Will of Jacob Laycock

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all.
I, Jacob Laycock of the county of Muskingum and State of Ohio do publish this my last will and testament.
It is my will that my just debts be paid out of my estate.
The law provides for my wife Rebecca Laycock.
It is my will that all my property both personal and real be sold within two years from my death and the money be equally divided between my nine children viz Samuel Laycock, Joseph Laycock, Sarah Bell, John Laycock, Jacob Laycock, Rebecca Gordon, James Laycock, Mary J Laycock, Helen A. James share and share alike.
It is my will that my Executor make sale of my real estate at public or private sale so it will sell to the best advantage in his judgement.
I do herely by nominate and appoint Aaron Gordon Executor of this my last will and testament here by authorizing and empowering him to compromise adjust release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me.
I do herely invoke all former wills by me made at any time.
In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of July in the year 1874.
Signed and acknowledged by said Jacob Laycock as his last will and testament in our presence and signed by us in his presence.
