I think I might be a relative of Solomon Stoneburner. My great-grandmother was a Martha (Hayes or Hays) Mauk. She was born July 29, 1860. I think in Newton Township. I'm sure it was in the Muskingum or Perry County area. She died , Nov. 23, 1917. Jan (Mauk) Huffman

My gr, gr grandfather was Joseph Hayes who married Susanna Stoneburner Hayes in 1824. I am desperately seeking further information on his father, James Hays (Hayes) who migrated to Muskingum Co. from Loudon Co., VA. Am wondering if you have any other records showing the Hayes (Hays) name.

I have no idea. I ordered this will hoping it would help me identify my Joseph STONEBURNER. It did not but since I had the will I decided to transcribe and post for others. It appears Solomon was not in my direct family so I have looked any further.
