This day the last will and testament of
Hiram Lucas late of
Muskingum County Ohio, deceased, was produced in writing in Open
Court, and personally came in Open
Court S. Townsed and Martin
Durant the attending and subscribing witness there to who were duly swore and examined according to law, touching the execution of said will and whose testimony was reduced to writing and filed herein, And it appearing to the
Court that Matilda
Lucas the widow of said testator, and Edna Russell,
Selva Russell,
Harlan Weaver, Matilda
Weaver, Eva
Weaver, Mary A. McLaughlin, Emaline
Silvey, A. H. Lucas, Anna Martin, Harry Martin, Lavina
Mohler, Harry
Lucas, Catherine
Leffler and Jane
Riley the next of kin of said testator residing within the State of
Ohio have all been duly notified in pursuance of a forever order of the
Court, of the filling of said will, the application to admit the same to probate and of the time where the same would be forbearing and proof of said notice filed herein, And it further appearing to the
Court from the testimony herein that said will was duly executed and attested and that said testator
Hiram Lucas, deceased, was at the time of the execution of the same of full age and of sound and disposing mind and memory and free from any restraint it is now by the court ordered that said will be and it is hereby admitted to probate and that the same together with the testimony of the witnesses and this entry be duly recorded.

Muskingum County Ohio, do wake and publish this my last will and testament.
Steve First I give and devise to my beloved wife Matilda in lieu of her dower the farm on which we now reside situated in
Harrison township
Muskingum County Ohio, and being the south west fraction of sections, Thirty-two (32) of township twelve (12) of range twelve (12) supposed to contain 148 acres during her natural life and all stock, household goods and furniture provisions and other good and chatters, which way be therein at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath to her absolutely she however selling so much there of as way be sufficient to pay my just debts at the death of my said wife, the real estate, aforesaid I give and devise, to my son A. H. Lucas ten acres as follows beginning or the worth, here of said within described fractional section, at the track of the Lanesville and
Ohio River R. R. thence west along said line to the corner of land owned by J.A. Riley thence suth along the line of said J. A. Rileys land, thence east to the Land,
ORR.R. thence north along said Railroad to the palce of beginning to be suffitient wedth to make ten acres, also a strip of land twelve feet wide beginning at said L &
ORR.R. running east along the said worth line of said fractional sections to the Muskingum River, said strip to be a road for the us of A. H. Lucas the above land to be set apart in fee simple to the said A. H. Lucas.
I will further that after the above bequests or complied with that the residue of my estate be eaqully divided between all my heirs shair and shair alike towit; Mary Ann

Silvey, Clarissa Martin deceased, her heirs towit Eva, Russell five dollars, the residue of said share to be eaquelly divided between Anna Martin and Harry Martin known as J. Lucas, deceased, his heirs Harry

I hereby nominate and appoint Martin

Hiram Lucas late of
Harrison Township in said
Muskingum County deceased who being duly sworn according to law to speak the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth in relation to the execution of said will dispose and say: that the paper before them bearing date the 6th day of February A.D. 1888, purporting to be the last will and testament of
Hiram Lucas now deceased, is the will of said deceased; that they were present at the execution of said will and at the request of the testator respectively subscribed their names to the same as witnesses in his presence; that they saw the said
Hiram Lucas deceased sign and seal said will and heard him acknowledge the same to be his last will and testament and that the said
Hiram Lucas at the time of ___ing, signing and sealing said will, was of full age, of sound mind and memory and not under any restraint.
