WILL of JOSEPH VERNON-MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO

The last will and testament of Joseph Vernon of the County of Muskingum state of Ohio. "In the name of god Amen". I, Joseph Vernon being in a state of sound mind but taking into consideration the unsertinty of life and the certainty of death do ordain this my last will and testament revoking al former wills and codicials -First I give and bequeth unto my beloved wife, Serah Vernon my Bay mare and my two cows and al my house hold and kitchen furniture also my bedding and my mantion house that I now live in during her natural life time 2) I require and request that my Executors herein after mentioned or named pay al my just debtsalso my funeral expencis out of my personal Estate.
It'-m 3 it is also my will and I give and bequeth to my sons Isack, Joseph, Samuel, John and Emos Vernon the sum of one dollar each to be paid out of my personal Estate one year after my Diceas.
Item 4 further it is also my will and I give and bequeth unto my daughters Elizabeth Meser (Mercer) Nancy Walters, Jane Yerrian, Nancy Bowers Heirs and Rebecka Bowers the Sum of one dollar Each to be paid out of my personal estate one yr. After my diceas.
Itm. 5th It is my will and I do hereby bequeth unto my son Allens four sons one hundred acres of land taking s.'d (said)Hundred acres of the south side of my lands I now hold on condition my Son
Allen's Heirs pays or causes to be paid unto my wife Serah Vernon ten bushels of wheat and twenty bushels of corn to be delivered to her in the bushel where she may direct yearly and and every year during her life time and also ? acres of medow ground adjoyning my son Arons medow and also that my son Allens Heirs lets my son Aron have the timber that stands in six acres of the north west corner of the tract of land I have left to my son Allens Heirs. Aron to leave as mutch timber on s.'d (said) six acres as would fence s.'d (said) six acres when cleared the land I leave to my son Allens Heirs not to be sold to the youngest comes of age and the prosids of the sale of s.'d (said) land to be equally divided ammongs my son Allens four sons. Share and share alike.
Item 6th It is my will and I do hereby Bequeth unto my son Aron Vernon al my Property Real and Personal that I have not otherwise bequethed in this my foregoing will on condition that my son Aron gives unto my wife Sarah Vernon ten bushels of corn and twenty bushels of wheat yearly and every yr. To be delivered in the bushel where she may direct during her life time if she cals for the same and do her milling and to cut and hal her as mutch firewood cut redey for the fire as she may want to burn and to keep her two cows and her horse as he does his own my son Aron to have the use of my Wifes horse to work when my wife is not using him and to give her a hind quarter of beef yearly and every yr. If she calls on him for it in case my wife Sarah should siken and require Medical aid it is my will that my son Allens Heirs and my son Aron pay the expencis of the same and I do hereby nominate and appoynt my two sons John Vernon and Samuel Vernon Executors of this my Last Will and Testament Witness my hand and Seal this eighth day of March in the yr. Of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and thirty four.
