I need to get a copy of the Will/Probate records for Barton Wells (wife Hannah) b: 1781 RI d: 1842 and buried in Hesson Cemetery. In 1842 the cemetery was in Enoch, Monroe Co., but in 1851 after Noble Co. was formed, the cemetery is now in Caldwell, Noble Co., Ohio.

I wonder if all the records were transferred to Noble Co. for the area transferred or if they were maintained in Monroe Co.

Also, would the Clerk of the Court still have the original documents (books) or would they have been relocated to an archive or genealogy society?
