Foy Olin Potts

MORRAL: Foy Olin Potts, age 69, of Morral passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 7:20 a.m in his home. He was born in Kenton, Ohio to the late Gerald and Rowena (Sims) Potts on December 14, 1942. Foy married Rosemary Louise Hickman in New Bloomington, Ohio on November 11, 1974 and she survives.

He was a member of the Meeker United Methodist Church and a past member of the Moose Lodge in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Foy was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was employed for 15 years with the Erie Railroad, worked for 3 years at Armco Steel, and retired in 2005 as an electrician for Marion Steel where he worked for 23 years. Surviving are four sons; Foy (Julie) Potts Jr. of Morral, Lonnie (Melody) Potts of Marion, Tobey (Stacy) Potts of Morral, and Darrin Potts of Marion; five daughters; Tracy (Moss) Brown of LaRue, Melinda Thomas of Marysville, Tabitha Thomas of Marion, Tina Potts of Morral, and Kimmy Ann Potts of Morral; four brothers; Allen (Sue) Potts of Utah, Mark (Carla) Potts Of Marion, Harold Potts of Marion, and Michael Potts of Delaware; one sister; Cynthia (Gary) James of Marion; 19 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Foy was preceded in death by a grandson; Tyler Joe Thomas; one sister; and two half brothers.

Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Rev. Robin Wells will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the Meeker Cemetery.

The Marion Co. Veterans Council will provide Military Rites.
