I am searching for family members of the Nicholas Osborn family that came from Virginia around 1798. When he arrived he purchased twenty two hundred acres of land: one thousand acres extended along the western boundry of Youngstown Township; three hundred and twenty acres in the northwest corner of Boardman Township, four hundred and eighty acres in the Southeast corner of Canfield Township, and four hundred acres in the southeast corner of Austintown Township--- near the junction of the four township corners of Youngstown, Boardman, Canfield, and Austintown.

The records of Trumbull County show the earliest date of record any part of this purchase to be 1809.

Nicholas was my gggggg grandfather, the family line is as follows;

Nicholas born 1929 died June 30, 1814 Cornersburg,Ohio

John (son of Nicholas) bornJuly 15,1765 Loudoun County Virginia and died February 16, 1838 in Canfiel, Ohio

Jacob (son of John)born March 26,1793 and died August 12,1839 in Newton Township, Trumbull County, Ohio

Levi ( son of Jacob) born August 12,1827 in Canfield, Ohio and died September 2,1913 Union Township, Wells County,Indiana

Joseph Nelson (son of Levi) born December 19,1851 Union Township,Wells County,Indiana and died September 2,1913 Union Township, Wells County, Indiana

Levi Ray (son of Joseph) born April 19,1894 East liverpool, Ohio and died November 29,1952 Lucas County, Toledo,Ohio

James Bernard Osborn (son of Levi Ray) is still alive and lives in Toledo,Ohio
