I have found out good news. My 3rd great grandmother "was" 100% Blackfoot Indian out of Ohio. She was born in Ohio in 1825 or 6. I have talked to some cousins that I found, and it is 100% sure. She even had a letter stating that she was invloved with a reservation up in Michigan. I am waiting for a copy of that letter. But it is real.
Now, i am trying to find out whay and how she came to live with a white family in Ohio. They knew her tribe, and also her name of Morningstar. Now if I can find someone who has the story of a Blackfoot baby being adopted out at that time, maybe I can find the rest of the family. That is what is important to me.
