Morse, Persis M. -- Died, on the 30th. of October, 1874, at the residence of Lysander Morse, Mrs. Persis M. Morse, wife of George W. Morse, in the 20th. year of her age. She was born in Lorain County, Ohio, and united with the M.E. Church, about two years ago; maintaining a Christian character, and passed away in the sweet assurance of the Christian's faith. During her visits to Shelby, and her last brief stay here, she won many friends. To one so young, life had many attractions, but when God called, she was ready "to depart and be with Christ".
