Alex Krall, 83, of Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, died this morning at 2:35 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain, after an illness of one month.
A native of Czechoslovakia, he had lived in Lorain since 1917 moving here from Marblehead, Ohio. He had worked as a machinist in the babbitt department of Lorain Cuyahoga Works, U.S. Steel Corp., retiring in 1956 after 40 years of service.
He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his wife Julia in 1957.
Survivors include three sons, Steve of Avon, Alex of Carp Lake, Mich., and Michael of Sheffield; three daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Ann) Teleha of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Stephan (Mary) Ballog of Lorain, and Mrs. John (Helen) Panchula of Boonesboro, Md; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter Kraly of Lorain, and a sister, Mrs. Michael (Anna) Brindza of Phoenix, Ariz.
Friends may call at the John R. Dovin Funeral Home, Lorain, tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by services at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. The Rev. Basil Stovka, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery
Parastas services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
