I'm trying to find out about any units formed from Liking County. I know of the 76th O.V.I. , but have not been able to find roster information. I'm trying to find out whar regiment that George Washington Patterson b.1836 fought in. I have seen a photo of him wearing a Grand Army of the Republic medal & Ribbon. He lived in that county at the time, in Jersey. He later moved to fairfield after 1880.
