Bonnie J. Harbit
Bonnie J. Harbit died on July 2, 2002, in her
Davis home. She was 72 years old.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1929, in
Newark,
Ohio, and graduated from
Newark High School.
After her marriage to Keith B. Harbit, she lived in Philidelphia, Pa., for many years where she worked as a data processor for
Smith,
Klein and French Laboratories.
The couple moved to
Davis in 1986, giving her an opportunity to attend UC
Davis, where she earned her bachelor's degree in religious studies.
She was a longtime volunteer for the
Yolo County Library and the STEAC food closet, as well as an active member of the
Davis United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; sisters Betty
McLaughlin and
Flora McCrillis of
Newark, Ohio; and her brother, Robert
Hafer, of
Newark,
Ohio.
A private burial will be held at the
Davis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that donations be made in her name to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014,
Davis, CA 95617.

Davis Funeral
Chapel.
