I found an Elias Hughes buried at North Lawn Cemetery in Utica, OH, Licking County, that I believe is the Elias Hughes you're looking for, b.1757 d.1844. He was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. I'm not sure where on the internet I found this info though, sorry. Elias was the brother of Jesse Hughes (Sr), my gggg grandfather. I am in the early stages of researching this family line...where did you get the info that he was blind?
