Alexander WORTHINGTON, son of James and Nancy WORTHINGTON was born in PA c1815 and died February 1890 in Perry Co, Ohio. Family moved to Lawrence Co mid 1830s.

Alexander married 1st Eliza Ann RUTTER (born PA c1820) in January 1839 in Lawrence Co. Children: Hannah, Joseph G., James W., Nancy E., Mary E., Elizabeth, John R., Rachel.

Married 2nd Mrs. Mary Ann (SHRIVER or SCIERS) STROPES in November 1866 in Lawrence Co. Children: William Alexander, Charles, Rose Etta, George, Mary, Bessie. 2nd wife had children by prev husband William STROPES: Angeline, Samantha, Mahlon W. and Henry.
