John Paytosh Family, Fairport Harbor
I ma searching for any information on the Paytosh family who lived in lake County in the late 1800s and early 1900s. My grandmother was Mary Paytosh. He father's name was John Paytosh, who is said to have owned a restaurant or bar in Fairport Harbor, OH that featured silver dollars embedded in the bar.
Mary's siblings included: John, George, Steve and Harold. Their wives were (respectively): Anna, Anna, and Mary. Harold died in a boating accident and never married. Eventually, Mary married Harry Zick of Akron, OH, and they lived in Cleveland, later Maple Heights.
I'd love to hear from anyone who can help me find more information on John Paytosh's bar rumor has it that it may been more than a bar, i.e. a "gentleman's club), John's wife's name, more about how Harold died, and anything else. Also if any other Paytosh descendents are out there, I'd love to get in touch.
