I have much Perry, Lake, OH information and have Samuel Harpending's family in Perry, 1850 census. Samuel's wife Catharine married Ephraim Marsh Prob. @1841. They went on to have six children. The last two being born in Dane Cty., Wisconsin.

I too did not find any gravesite in Lake County for Samuel or any obituary listed at Morley Library, Painesviulle, OH.

I found information on-line & census records. Catharine Marsh died 3 May 1888 in Wisconsin, that may be a starting point for you. Also his daughter Mary Ann Daniels died 30 May 1880, Stueben, NY maybe there's a mention of her father???
