looking for Ellen Durbin/Walter F Davis from Danville information

I am trying to do a memory scrapbook album for my 2 grown sons and their children's children. But I've been stumped by my Grandfather and his roots. I know he came from Danville OH.
His name was Walter Francis Davis. And supposedly he had a brother named Frank. Not sure where to go from here, but he was "farmed out" to a woman who our family called "Grandma Durbin. Her name was Ellen Durbin. I was named after her. I think this was her married name. He was born Dec 7th 1883. he died March 1978 in Zanesville, OH. I looked in the Ohio history death and found 1 Ellen Durbin who died 8/28/1922, which could be about right, but it says Williams county. I don't know where this is.
I would like to know Ellen's maiden name, her husband's name, marriage date, and her Death date and where she's buried. Any information on Frank or Walter and their family would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Ellen McIntyre

My ancestors were early Knox County pioneers and I would appreciate communicating with anyone having a similar link to these lines. CHRISTIAN RINEHART married MARY DOUGLASS May 11, 1794 in NJ and moved to Knox Co.Oh.in 1816. Wm. DOUGLASS was the 1st white settler in Morris Twp. Knox County. Was he Mary's father, bro., or no relative at all?
In 1812 BARNET BONAR emigrated from Wash. County, PA to Knox Co. and had the following children: David, Mathew, John, Wm. Ann, Martha, Sarah, Isabel, Margaret. MARTHA BONAR married ADAM RINEHART (son of Christian and Mary). They were my ggggrandparents.

Their son DAVID RINEHART married HARRIET DARLING 12/18/1861. She was the dau. of ABRAHAM DARLING and HARRIET RILEY, married 1824. Who were Abraham Darling's parents and where was he from? HARRIET's parents were NICHOLAS RILEY and HANNAH SHRIMPLIN. Who were their parents?

DAVID AND HARRIET RINEHART'S dau. SARAH RINEHART married ELISHA HYATT and their dau. MARTHA HYATT married BUNYAN BENJ. KERR. He was a descendant of JOHN KERR who was one of the founders of Fredericktown, Ohio. JOHN KERR went to Knox Co. from Franklin Co. Ohio in 1803, but I have been able to find no info. about him in Franklin Co. prior to 1803.

Any information on these lines greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
My ancestors were among the early settlers of northwest Knox County, including Nathaniel and Barbara (SARGENT) KINNEY, Lydia and Julia NORTON(Lydia was the sister of Stephen COLE, one of the founders of Berlin Township), and John CRILL. There were other Kinneys, Nortons, Crills, Coles, and Sargents with them -- and they intermarried into a number of families, such as the McCreary, Clawson, and Markley families, to name a few. I would enjoy sharing information with anyone working on these surnames. Please e-mail me as well as posting here. Thank you.

Is anyone researching Calvin Bates m. Mercy Eldridge? I have read much about them in "histories," but I am now trying to document them. I have read they married (1817)in Knox County. The 1820, 1830 and 1840 census show them in Knox County. I am most interested on linking them to who I believe to be their son, Eldridge Bates. He was born in 1826. One of the histories I read stated, Calvin Bates was an original member of the Methodist Episcopal Church started by Zephaniah Bell in 1828. Where would these records be?

Susan
Lkn4kin@comcast.net

I am trying to locate information on a Samuel B. Kern, born in Fayette Co., PA., in 1855. He married Susana Wooldridge on June 6, 1880 in Knox County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Emmanuel Wooldridge. The were listed in the Holmes County 1880 census. Living with them at the time was Samuel's sister, Mary O. Kern, and a Walter Sibbets, who was 19. His relationship to Samuel Kern was 'other.' Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Eve or Eva Broliar\Brolier\Brolian Knox co. Ohio ~1800-1853

I am looking for the wife of Jonathan Henry. Her name was reputed to be "Eve Brolian" by "The History of Richland County" born in Pennsylvania, buried in Ankeytown's Dunkard Cemetary in 1853. Now I find some of the descendants of Christian Brolliar and Jacob Brollier in Ankeytown in the 1830's. I am guessing that one of their daughters is the mis-named Eve or Eva. She would have been born in the 1805 to 1820 range. She would have had to have had a daughter in 1837. Does anyone have anything they can add to this?

Thanks

Independence. John Pinkley, one of the men killed by the nitro-glycerine explosion, near Bellevue, was brought here Saturday enroute to North Liberty, where deceased's people all reside, he being born and raised in that vicinity. The remains were accompanied as far as this place by Al. Rummel, of Toledo, in whose employ Mr. Pinkley was at the time of his death. The obsequies took place at 11 o'clock Sunday, conducted by Rev. Wilson, of Amity, and the remains were laid away in the North Liberty cemetery. The sudden and unlooked for death of Mr. Pinkley has cast a gloom over the entire neighborhood in which he was raised.

source: RICHLAND SHIELD & BANNER (Mansfield, Richland, Ohio): 18 February 1888, Vol. LXX, No. 39

Joseph KERR / Elizabeth KERR

I am looking for information on Joseph KERR. I have found him in the 1850 census in Jackson, Knox, Ohio at the age of 80. He was born in PA. about 1770. His wife was Elizabeth, last name perhaps RUSSELL, born about 1779 in PA. They were enumerated with sons John (J.or I.), age 35 and Isaac, age 33, both born in Ohio.
Anything found on these people would be greatly appreciated.

Vickie CAUGHEY Calzada
connectadotgirl@gmail.com
