Richard Alan Billingsly


Richard Alan Billingsly, 61, of Waldport, Ore., formerly of Tiltonsville, Ohio, died July 22, 2011 at his home.

He was born Oct. 13, 1949 to Harold Billingsly and Myrtle Frances in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was very loved and will be missed by all his “critter” girls Rainie, Bella, Katie, Holly, Rose, and above all, Sophia. He loved the view of the ocean. He enjoyed spending time with his two faithful pets, Sophie and Holly. Although he won’t be coming this way again, loving memories of him will always be in his family and friends’ hearts.

He was employed by Portland Paper Box, manufacturing boxes in Portland. He was a football fan.

He was preceded in death by his six brothers, Clarence, Matthew, Fred, Russell, Albert and Thomas Billingsly; and sister, Patty Billingsly.

He is survived by his companion of 15 years, Sheila Brennan of Waldport; sisters, Loretta Smith of Rayland, Ohio and Barbara (Stacy) Griffith of Tiltonsville, Ohio; brothers, Sherman (Michele) of Toronto, Ohio and William (Debbie) of Follansbee, W.Va.; sister-in-law Patti Billingsly of Portland; and many nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time.
