I am descended from the Michael Domer family. Many of them were Brethren or German Baptist as they were called then. The name Fisher also appears in the German Baptist Churches in neighboring Tuscarawas County, where my family attended the Sugarcreek and Baltic churches now known as Churches of the Brethren. There is a chance your family may have been associated with the German Baptist Brethren. Check for variations on the name such as "Bichsel" which is I think in some areas a Mennonite name. Mennonites and German Baptists were and are quite similar in theology. It would not be unusual for intermarriage to occur between Mennonite and German Baptist families.
