In 2005 I wrote a factual history of the Holmes County Rebellion, know locally as Ft. Fizzle. Historically this was considered to be a Civil War draft resistance movement which brought over 400 US troops into Napoleon (known today as Glenmont), Ohio. A Peter Ringgenberg and John Imboden were two of about 39 men indicted in this affair. Peter Ringgenberg's case went to trial; he was found innocent. John Imboden refused to give his name and age to an enrollment officer. He also had a brother of nearly the same age. I have a newsletter written by a Ringgenberg in the mid 1990's.
