Trying a different board here-am searching for info on the ancestors and even decendants of the following family. Ancestor info would be particularly helpful as I have only a suggested guess at this point.

Benjamin O'Harra/O'Harra (any spelling variation will do), b. 1879 possibly in Hocking co, but could have been born in Franklin, Licking, or a surrounding county, OH. He died 1921 in Benton, Hocking, OH. I have Thomas O'Harra (1840-1914) and Nancy Snyder as his parents, but I am not sure. There is a possibility his grandparents are Thomas O'Harra and Lucinda Legg (1805-1864) are his grandparents, but I am not certain of that either. I was wondering what research others have done. My own has basically been obtained through census records.

Ben married Laura I Huffman (1883-unknown). Laura's parents were George Washington Huffman and Nancy Minerva Tatman. I know of 7 children Ben and Laura had-Leota Belle (1904-1995), m Carl Knepper, George T (1907-unknown), m Bertha McKnight, John Henry (1909-1996), m Thelma Speakman, Donald C (1912-1982), m Nettie Mettler, Pearl/Purl Nicholas (my grandfather, 1915-1992), m Margaret Marie Bradford (1918-1992), Roy C (1918-unknown), m Jennie Doering, and Catherine M(1921-unknown), m Bernard McDowell.

All the children were born in Benton, Hocking, OH as far as I know save George T (b Columbus, Franklin).

Laura did outlive Benjamin and was alive in 1930. She had not remarried by then.

Laura's mother's family, the Tatmans also lived in the Hocking, OH area, and I wouldn't mind hearing about them.
