I checked the Highland Co. Cemetery Inscriptions by David N. McBride - saw a lot of McConnaugheys in New Market Baptist but no Edward (or Almira) and no McGowns either. Could she have married a third time?

Did not see a record of their marriage in Highland Co. either.
