John Cox b. 1812 in Ohio, married in 30 Aug 1853 to Elizabeth Kerns Hiatt b. abt 1821. Their children were: William O. Cox b. 1856, Margaret America Cox Sweetman b. 1857, Joseph W. Cox b. 1858, Sally M. Cox Moore b. 1860 and Robert M. Cox b. 1862.

Elizabeth Kern's 1st spouse was Oliver Hiatt b. 1819, married 1836/1838. Their children were: Rachel Ellen Hiatt Wright b. 1842 d. 1931 and John Hiatt b. 1844/1845.
