I regret to say that Loretta passed away several years ago. I don't know what happened to her research but you might try contacting the Fulton County Genealogical Society in Ohio. I don't have the address at this moment, but it can be found on the internet or through the Ohio Genealogical Society website. Good Luck.

If you had ancestors in Henry County in the 1920's and 1930's, I am posting pictures on Ancestry under Bertha Bernicke and Evelyn Diery. There are some class pictures and many photos with unidentified children. Evelyn Diery was born in 1918 and lived in Napoleon. Relatives of hers have last names of Gaede, Bernicke, Dietrich, Benien. Friends had last names of Wesche, Smiley, Becker, Plassman. Maybe you can identify an ancestor of yours.

I am looking for an Abner Shook that married a Effie (Ward) Weasel after her husband died in 1924. I found a marriage record for them in Wood County OH in 1927. Found them in the 1930 census in Toledo and then haven't found them since. But Effie is buried with her first husband in the St Augustine's Cem under the name of Effie Weasel again. Was wondering if you have an Abner and what happened to him
Kathy
krlund@verizon.net
R. A. Shaw

I looked up R. A. Shaw in 1910 and in 1920 census in Holgate. In 1910 he is a "roomer" at age 24 and is listed as a Furniture /undertaker as occupation and is living in the home of a Mrs. Smith with a daughter named Dollie. Then in 1920 married to Dollie with 2 children and listed as a proprietor of furniture store in Holgate. Ross Andrew Shaw died in Toledo in 1944 but was still from Holgate. I found ohter death certifcates in earlier 1944 in Holgate and undertaker was Ross Shaw. So he was still in business the year he died.
Just came across your request for information on the Slee family. I have a good part of this same line I believe. My great great grandfather's 2nd wife was Mary Elizabeth Slee. She was the daughter of Nathaniel & Ellen (Babcock) Slee. Nathaniel was the son of Francis & Mary Elizabeth (?) Slee, and the brother of at least two of their other sons, John & Francis Slee, Jr.

I am missing some parts from this branch of the tree as well, so maybe between the two of us we can help each other fill in some of the blanks.

Contact me via email if you are interested and we'll see what we might each be able to add to the others family information.

Thanks a million!!

Since I'm in Hawaii, it isn't all that easy to get
back to Ohio to do this work, myself. I appreciate your kindness. If anyone else has heard of Schliesser Cemetery, I'd appreciate knowing where it is. I have searched as many of the internet sources as I can.
