I am searching for information on the parents & other ancestors of my fourth great grandfather, Andrew Henderson. Andrew was born in 1804 in Fairfield Twp, Westmoreland Co, Pennsylvania. He married Jane MCDowell & somewhere around 1828 or so, followed his parents into eastern Ohio, where they had property in Harrison, Carroll & mostly, Tuscarawas counties. Andrew & Jane moved their family to Allamakee County, Iowa between 1859-1860. There they raised 13 children.

I believe Andrew's father's name to be William & his mother's name to be Sarah, going by a copy of a land record in which Andrew's parents sell him & his brother, William Jr some tracts of land in 1829 in Ohio. The only record of them I can find is in the 1850 census, which lists them living near Andrew & William Jr's younger brother Ebenezer's family in Gishen Twp, Tuscarawas Co, Ohio. I believe Sarah to have died later in 1850 & that William passed in 1852, according toan excerpt in a book about the history of Tuscarawas county, but I cannot find a record of death or burial on either parent. I have been in touch with people in both Westmoreland county PA & Tuscarawas county, OH & no one can find what became of them or who their ancestors were.
