The only suggestion I have for you is through the Cincinnati Public Library, main library located in downtown Cincinnati.

You can contact the Newspapers and Magazines Department at (513) 369-6973. I'm not sure what the procedure is when you don't have an exact citation for a certain paper, but since you have an approximate death date, they may be able to research this for you. I have requested and received obituaries/death notices through this resource for the 1870-1885 timeframe but I did have the citation (name, date, name of paper, page and column number). I think it would be worth a phone call.
