Evelyn H. Gartner born in Providence RI January 3, 1917, a Toledo resident from 1959 to 2009, died on April 30, 2012 in Fairborn, Ohio after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Archer Gartner and mother to Gail Cosgrove (Richard) and Tony Gartner (Mollie); 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she died as she lived, gracefully and with quiet dignity, never complaining but rather reflecting on what she called a "very good life".
A memorial service will be held for Evelyn Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's in the Hills, 4718 Brittany Rd., Toledo Ohio, her church for many years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a gift to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton Ohio 45420.
